PSL 2020 : Asim Azhar Apologises to Pans for ‘Underwhelming’ PSL 2020 Song

Pakistani singer Asim Azhar on Friday apologised to fans for the ‘underwhelming’ Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020 anthem, Tayyar Hain, saying that the team behind the anthem “tried their best”.

The 23-year-old took to Twitter and reminded fans that the annual anthems were not in “competition” with each other, referring to the song’s comparisons to Ali Zafar’s wildly famous 2017 number, Abb Khel Jamay Ga.

“I really understand the importance that cricket and PSL hold for my fellow Pakistanis. With that being said I’m sorry to those fans whose expectations I couldn’t meet,” the post read.

“PSL anthems are not a competition if you don’t like a certain one then you have others to enjoy from as well.”

The anthem, which was released on Wednesday, also featured the vocals of Ali Azmat, Haroon Rashid and Arif Lohar.
