The Sindh government will given the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) seven bulletproof vehicles for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020, Daily Jang reported on Thursday.
The PCB has made a formal written request to the PCB in this regard, stating that the purpose for the heavy duty vehicles was to provide secure transportation to players to and from the airport, hotel and ground.
In addition to the requested vehicles, the PCB will be using its own coaster vehicles for the transportation of the six teams.
The Home Department of Sindh, upon receiving the request, instructed IGP Sindh and Protocol Wing to provide the details of the vehicles needed.
With the entire PSL being staged in Pakistan for the first time, the PCB and local governments are planning to provide airtight security to players and other visitors.
